I had the same problem with one of my user's and it turned out to be my AV software.. The only Excel files this user uses are exactly the same files as others in the same team.. Usually not a problem and everything was ok On rare occasions when they had the excel file open, the AV would crash, excel would write into that memory space and when the av restarted it couldn't load into the memory space as excel had taken it so it would crash the pc and blue screen..
